Aaron Kula
| Aaron Kula joined the Florida Atlantic University faculty in 1997 and for seven years served as music director of the University Symphony Orchestra. An innovative music scholar and avid proponent of ethnic music Kula has also been teaching, arranging, and performing Jewish music for 25 years. In 1997 Kula formed the Klezmer Company Orchestra, which serves as the FAU Libraries Professional Ensemble in Residence and whose mission is to perform and promote music from the libraries’ collections. In the fall of 2003 Maestro Kula was appointed as Director of Music Collections at FAU Libraries where his activities involve performing music from the archives, composing, lecturing, and collection development. |

Aaron Kula is also a member of the conducting faculty at New England Conservatory of Music in Boston where he has conducted college and youth orchestras since 1986. An active guest conductor, Mr. Kula was appointed principle guest conductor of the Boston Ballet from 1991-2003 and has led orchestras for the Miami City Ballet, The Boston Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, Santa Fe Symphony, New Hampshire Ballet, and others throughout the US, Europe and Israel. Mr. Kula has worked with numerous renowned artists such as: cellist Yo-Yo Ma, clarinetist Richard Stoltzman, and Metropolitan Opera singers Hakan Hagegard and Denise Graves among others. Mr. Kula holds degrees with Distinction in Performance and Conducting from the New England Conservatory and the University of Minnesota in Music Theory and Judaic studies.
