For Olga M. Vazquez, music and the music industry has been the core of her life. She holds both the Bachelor of Music and the Master of Music degrees from the University of Miami School of Music with a minor in
Business Administration. She has since worked for non-for-profit art
institutions such as the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, the Florida Grand Opera, the Palm Beach County School of the Arts, the Harid Conservatory, and the Conservatory of Music at Lynn University. She has held positions in different aspects of concert |

management, marketing, public relations, and administration. After several years in the music sector, she returned to school to continue her studies in music and in education. She is currently pursing a Ph.D. in Comparative Studies in Fine and Performing Arts with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction, Music K-12 from Florida Atlantic University. At FAU, she has been involved as a Graduate Assistant in the Music-In-Education National
Consortium, a FIPSE funded project through the Listening Learning
School Network at the New England Conservatory in Boston. Olga is a highly skilled pianist and accompanist having won many honors, awards, and scholarships as a pianist and a bass-clarinetist. As a senior in high school she was selected as 1st runner-up for the Pathfinders Scholarship Awards. She is listed in Who’s Who in Music 1987 and in the National Dean’s List 1990-1991. She has spent many years as a liturgical musician, directing and accompanying church choirs, in Palm Beach and Broward Counties.
