Eddie Martinez is a violinist and was a member of the Florida Philharmonic for 19 seasons before the orchestra went bankrupt. Born of Cuban parents in New York, the family soon migrated to South Florida where he eventually studied the violin and piano at the University of Miami. Eddie continues to perform on violin with some of the local orchestras and enjoys playing a role as piano accompanist to both students and colleagues.
