JULIA MCALISTER is a graduate of California State University at Northridge, where she majored in horn performance, studying with Fred Fox. Before moving to South Florida in 1977, she was active in both symphonic and studio performance in the Los Angeles area. Ms. McAlister was a member of the  Florida Philharmonic for 27 years, until it's dimise, the Florida Grand Opera orchestra and the Miami Chamber Symphony.  She currently performs with the Palm Beach Opera, Chamber Music Palm Beach, the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra, Southwest Florida Symphony, Boca Raton Symphonia and  the New Philharmonic Orchestra.
