Tea & Symphony - Celebrating our 10th Season

Join us for "Afternoon Tea" with Conductors & soloists.
Presented by The Allegro Society (support group of The SYMPHONIA, Boca Raton)

Come and enjoy lunch and the opportunity to meet our internationally-known guest conductors in an intimate setting. Plus, the soloists will give you a preview of the music being played in that week's performance. We invite your group to join us for these luncheon programs, which will be interesting, educational and fun!

 


FRIDAY, JANUARY 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. (new time)
Unitarian Church, 2601 St. Andrews Blvd., Boca Raton

Guests will have a unique opportunity to listen to a portion of The SYMPHONIA's rehearsal. This "insider" experience will be followed by a bistro lunch and a talk by conductor Gerard Schwarz. Guest cellist Julian Schwarz will provide a musical preview of the concerto which will be performed at the Sunday concert on January 11.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
Polo Country Club, 5400 Champion Blvd., Boca Raton

A delicious buffet luncheon at the newly-redecorated Polo Country Club will be followed with commentary by guest conductor Alexander Platt. After the maestro's discussion of the February 22nd concert, there will be a short performance by the week's soloists, violinists Scott O'Donnell and Gareth Johnson.

Following a buffet luncheon, guest conductor James Judd will speak about the April 12th musical program. Jeffrey Kaye, The SYMPHONIA's principal trumpet player and Artistic Director, will play a portion of his upcoming concert solo.
